Submitting an official transcript is a required step in the iteach admissions process. To avoid delays, it’s important to understand what qualifies as an official transcript and what does not.
This article outlines exactly what is acceptable so your documents can be reviewed and approved as quickly as possible.
What Counts as an Official Transcript
An official transcript must be received by iteach in its original electronic form directly from your institution or an approved transcript service.
To ensure your transcript remains official:
-
Keep the original file exactly as received
Do not rename the file or add your name.
Forward the original email you received service directly to transcripts@iteach.net
-
Send the full transcript, exactly as provided:
All pages
Include the transcript key or legend, if present
When forwarded correctly, the transcript retains its official status and can be accepted for admissions review.
What Makes a Transcript Unofficial
The following cannot be accepted as official transcripts:
Scanned copies
Photos or screenshots
Files that have been altered in any way
-
Transcripts that have been:
Saved as a PDF
Exported as a PDF
Renamed or re-formatted
Once a transcript has been scanned, photographed, or modified, it is no longer considered official, even if it originally came from your school.
Why This Matters
Using the correct submission method helps prevent processing delays and ensures your application can move forward without additional requests. Submitting unofficial transcripts may require you to resend documents, which can slow down your admissions timeline.
